International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA),  7—16th June 2013.

ISEA International (formerly Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts) is an international nonprofit organisation fostering interdisciplinary academic discourse and exchange among culturally diverse organisations and individuals working with art, science and technology. The main activity of ISEA International is the annual International Symposium on Electronic Art. The series of Symposia was initiated in 1988 in order to support the founding and maintenance of an international network of organisations and individuals active in the field of electronic arts.


International Conference on Computational Creativity (ICCC), 12-14th June, 2013

Computational creativity is the study and simulation, by computational means, of behaviour, natural and artificial, which would, if observed in humans, be deemed creative. The Fourth International Conference on Computational Creativity will be held June 12 – 14, 2013 in Sydney, Australia.  For information on submitting a paper to the conference, please check the Call for Papers. You can learn more about the conference by looking at the websites for previous conferences.


Vivid Sydney Festival, 24 May—10 June 2013

Sydney will once again be transformed into a spectacular canvas of light, music and ideas when Vivid Sydney takes over the city after dark. Vivid Sydney is a major celebration of the creative industries and the biggest festival of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting over 400,000 attendees in 2011.

Colouring the city with creativity and inspiration, Vivid Sydney highlights include the hugely popular immersive light installations and projections; performances from local and international musicians at Vivid LIVE at Sydney Opera House and the new Vivid Ideas Exchange at the MCA featuring public talks and debates from leading global creative thinkers.

Now heading into its fourth year, Vivid Sydney was ranked in the Top Ten global ideas festivals by the influential Guardian newspaper in the UK. The full 2012 program of events can be found on the official Vivid Sydney website, with the final program for 2013 still in the making.
